Company

Gunter.lv – Official representative of Gunter Grossmann in Latvia. Sale of construction machinery – excavators, loaders, dump trucks, etc.

Period

We began working together in mid-August (2026); we have been working on this for three weeks so far.

Objective

To boost brand awareness and attract an audience to social media accounts, and to increase engagement. No paid advertising is used to achieve this goal; only organic content is used.

Want the same result for your business?

Many business leaders believe that social media is intended solely for entertainment or for selling fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). In the heavy machinery, tractor and excavator sector, the myth still persists that ‘our customers aren’t on there’. I can assure you that customers are everywhere – it’s simply a question of how we engage with them.

In this case study, we’ll take a detailed look at our collaboration with Gunter.lv, where, simply by changing our communication strategy, in a mere three weeks (in August 2026) we achieved a massive organic surge on both Facebook and TikTok. Without a single euro spent on advertising.

The problem: ‘Everyone’s doing it’ – or the pitfalls of empty templates

When we began our collaboration in mid-August, we encountered a classic scenario. The company was posting content on social media using CapCut video templates that were popular at the time, catchy songs, flashing effects and editing styles typical of music videos. These are the pitfalls that many companies fall into – posting just for the sake of it. Everyone’s on social media, so I have to be there too. It doesn’t matter what the content is, as long as you’re on social media – which is, of course, better than nothing at all – but wasting your time searching for CapCut templates and failing to achieve the engagement you could have is painful. That’s why we often hear that our clients aren’t on TikTok or that social media isn’t working for them.

Why doesn’t it work?

A builder, a farmer or a warehouse manager planning to buy machinery costing tens of thousands of euros isn’t looking for entertainment, dancing or super-fast, futuristic editing. They’re looking for reliability, quality and expertise. Templates create a ‘cheap’ impression and do not inspire trust in the brand, which is why social media algorithms quickly push this content down the feed, as it fails to hold the target audience’s attention.

The solution: Authentic storytelling (Educational Storytelling)

Our first and most important step was to completely move away from impersonal templates. We switched to a content format that is considered the gold standard in the industry – educational storytelling.

Instead of showing a slick video with the caption ‘Buy now’, we began creating content about:

  • The specific functions of tractor equipment and how they make everyday work easier.

  • The machinery’s origins, components and durability.

  • Real-life examples of use, answering the questions customers usually ask in person.

We added value to the content. Users no longer perceived it as an advert, but rather as useful industry information.

Results: What can an algorithm achieve when fed the right content?

When the algorithm sees that people are stopping to watch your video, watching it to the end and engaging with it, it starts displaying this content on a massive scale, completely free of charge. The results we achieved over a three-week period (in August) speak for themselves.

1. Facebook data analysis: Building trust and community

Facebook metric Figure Growth What does this mean for business?
Views 74,783 +605% Massive brand recognition throughout Latvia.
Engagement 1,922 +607% People didn’t just see the content – they reacted to it and engaged with it.
New followers +169 +16,800 169 targeted professionals (potential buyers) who will now regularly see the company’s offers.

The peak shown in the graph (over 17,000 views in a single day) proves that a single powerful, organic post can ‘outperform’ an advertising campaign worth thousands of euros. In the heavy machinery sector, 169 new followers are not just a number – they are farm and business managers. Even if just 1 per cent of them become customers, the return on investment (ROI) is already in the thousands.

2. TikTok data analysis: Virality and audience engagement

Many B2B companies are still wary of TikTok. The example of Gunter.lv shows that these concerns are unfounded, provided the content is tailored appropriately.

TikTok metric Figure Growth What does this mean for business?
Video views 36,700 +416.5% Attracting new, previously untapped audiences.
Profile views 633 +5,175 Users wanted to find out more about the company itself.
Shares 104 +5,100% The most important metric in the B2B sector.
Likes 664 +3,394.7% The ‘fuel’ for the algorithm to spread the video.

Take note of the 104 shares. In the TikTok environment, this is the most valuable metric. This means that a user saw a video about Gunter.lv’s tractor equipment and sent it to a colleague, boss or neighbour with the message: “Have a look at this!” This form of ‘word-of-mouth’ digital marketing is unbeatable.

Future forecasts: How do organic views translate into revenue?

High engagement and tens of thousands of views are a nice boost to the ego, but for a business, profit is the primary concern. How will this three-week surge affect the future of Gunter.lv?

  1. The power of brand recognition in major purchasing decisions: You don’t buy a tractor on impulse whilst scrolling through your phone on the sofa. It’s a long-term decision. However, the moment an entrepreneur needs machinery, the Gunter Grossmann brand will already have established itself in their subconscious as a reliable, familiar player. These days, brand recognition directly reduces the length of the sales cycle.

  2. Retargeting: Those >111,000 views haven’t gone to waste. They now form our ‘warm’ audience. The next logical marketing step is to create a targeted retargeting campaign, through which we can already show specific sales offers, leasing terms or invitations to sign up for an in-person test drive. For this audience, the cost per click will be drastically lower and the conversion rate significantly higher.

  3. SEO and brand credibility: A regular and meaningful flow of content on social media sends a strong signal not only to customers but also to Google’s search engine. The more people search for a brand (after seeing a TikTok or Facebook video), the higher the authority of the company’s website rises.

Is your strategy working in your favour?

This case study highlights an important truth: in social media marketing, it’s not enough simply to ‘be there’ and post something with music overlaid on an image. If you’ve been producing content for a long time but aren’t seeing any engagement, you’re most likely not speaking your audience’s language.

By shifting from bland, formulaic entertainment to providing value (by telling stories, explaining things and demonstrating), we bypassed the platform’s algorithms and achieved results that other companies pay thousands of euros a month for.

Is your social media content currently attracting potential customers, or is it just gathering virtual dust? Perhaps it’s time to change your approach?
